Located in Careysburg, Montserrado County, Liberia, Shamel’s Place is a nonprofit organization founded in memory of Samuel Shamel Adama Kolleh, who was born on January 20, 2018, and passed away on March 4, 2018, due to multiple heart defects.
Shamel’s Place is an orphanage committed to providing needy children care, housing, education, and emotional support. Our impactful programs ensure children have a safe space to grow as they reach their highest potential.
Our work ensures Shamel’s heart continues to live on in other children, giving his 43 days on earth a lasting and meaningful purpose.
Our Mission
In honor of Shamel, our mission is to transform the lives of orphans through education, empowerment, and community integration. We believe that when children have access to love, care, and the right tools, they will grow into compassionate, impactful members of society.
Our Vision
We envision a world where orphaned children receive holistic support, allowing them to become prominent community leaders. We fulfill this vision by breaking down barriers, creating opportunities, and uplifting the most vulnerable children.
We offer orphans hope, reminding them they are never alone, love reflecting God’s divine presence, and light showing them a world full of possibilities.
